CONSOLIDATION
Consolidation is a form of sanation where old, weakened material is not replaced with new one, but strengthened by the use of chemical agents which increase hardness and resistance to wearing out. It is performed on facilities which should remain in their original state for many years. In most cases these are the facilities of cultural-historical importance, facilities under state protection or other important facilities. Upon restoration and conservation on old or damaged facilities, consolidation is regularly performed within rehabilitation and preparations for restoration, or prior to conservation. Consolidation can be done on stone, artificial stone, mortar, brick and other similar (mineral-based) materials, which improve their physical-mechanical properties through the use of chemical agents. Consolidated construction materials retain their original color, structure and steam-permeability.
Besides facilities consolidation can be done on sculptures and other artistic objects made of stone, concrete, gypsum, etc.
Consolidation is carried out by our team of experts using our technology and our attested materials that have been used for many years.
