Micro cracks have appeared on bush hammered facade (peel hammered facade). Water passes through cracks and makes inner walls wet.

Micro cracks regularly occur on such facades. Passing of water through these cracks and wetting of inner walls can be prevented by conserving the facade with the products ECO IMPREGNIR K and ECO IMPREGNIR S.

The house was built in 1937. Peel hammered facade is made of artificial stone. Parts of facade are chapped, small pieces are missing in some areas.

Old facade is being examined in order to see how hard it is and whether there are areas on the facade where artificial stone is separated from the wall construction. At suspicious places the facade is broken in order to repair the damage (rebuilding and restoration). Afterwards, the facade is being washed with the cleaning and washing products ECO RECEPT 01, ECO RECEPT 02 and water under pressure, then conserved using the products ECO IMPREGNIR K and ECO IMPREGNIR S, or just the product ECO IMPREGNIR S.

The dirt on the bush hammered facade is removed with the cleaning and washing products ECO RECEPT 01, ECO RECEPT 02 and water under pressure.

Peel hammered facade was very dirty and we painted it. After painting, artificial stone cracks and the parts of the facade start falling off.

Facade is probably painted with a color which is vapor permeable and doesn′t allow water vapor to pass through. Upon heating water vapor pressure in the facade can be very high, causing wall structural damage.

Facade of artificial stone becomes yellow-brown.

Brown and yellow colors on the facade most probably originate from the corroded concrete iron. Washing and cleaning such a facade take long and most often don′t produce satisfactory results, because further wetting of the facade speeds up the rusting of iron. The only good thing to be done is protecting the facade with the products ECO IMPREGNIR K and ECO IMPREGNIR S, which prevents the facade from getting wet and further stains provoked by rust.

Graffiti are written over peel hammered facade.

Graffiti can be removed from the peel hammered facade by using the product for cleaning and washing ECO RECEPT 02 and water under pressure of 120-140bar. It is often necessary to perform mechanical cleaning with a steel brush as well. When cleaning has been finished facade is conserved with the products ECO IMPREGNIR K and ECO IMPREGNIR S or just the product ECO IMPREGNIR S. It is strongly recommended to use anti-graffiti protection for the part of facade which is the most vulnerable. Anti-graffiti protection of peel hammered facade is done with the product ECO IMPREGNIR A.
