Question 1 |
New building. I need a product for achieving waterproofness/water repellence of concrete. |
Answer 1 | Waterproofness/water repellence of concrete is achieved by adding the product ECO IMPREGNIR K to the concrete while mixing, in the amount of 10-20% compared to the mass of cement. |
Question 2 |
When casting concrete is sticking to metal molds. |
Answer 2 |
Metal molds should be coated with mold release product for concrete ECO D 01. |
Question 3 |
Concrete is sticking to wooden molds. |
Answer 3 |
Before casting inside of the wooden molds is coated with a thin layer of mold release product ECO D 01. |
Question 4 |
Holes and cracks in the concrete are filled with new concrete. After some time new parts of concrete separate and start falling off. |
Answer 4 |
Repair of damaged concrete is done by using specific binder, so-called new–to-old binder (N/O binder). Before applying a new concrete, parts of the damaged one are treated with the N/O binder made with addition of the product ECO POLYMER D. |
Question 5 | Classical hydro-insulation was performed. I was recommended to add a product for humidity prevention into the cement screed. |
Answer 5 | There is no need to add any kind of product for humidity prevention into the cement screed, if classical hydro-insulation was performed well. If there is a doubt, the product ECO IMPREGNIR K is added into the cement screed. |
Question 6 | Concrete floors in pigsties on the farm decay very fast. |
Answer 6 |
New concrete floors in pigsties are made with addition of the product ECO IMPREGNIR K 20% compared to the mass of cement. After the complete solidification concrete is conserved with the product ECO IMPREGNIR B. |
Question 7 | Concrete slabs at the entrance of the automotive service have deteriorated due to the salt and water. |
Answer 7 | Concrete slabs in a relatively good shape are washed with the cleaning products ECO RECEPT 01, ECO RECEPT 02 and water under pressure, then protected with the product ECO IMPREGNIR B. If the concrete is heavily damaged, it is necessary to put new one. While mixing the product ECO IMPREGNIR K is added to the concrete in the amount of 10-20%, compared to the mass of binder (cement). After solidification and complete drying the concrete is conserved using the product ECO IMPREGNIR B. |
Question 8 | Concrete pillars for electric power lines crack down their length and disintegrate. Concrete iron is noticeable in some parts. |
Answer 8 | Repair of concrete pillars is done by applying the N/O binder made of the product ECO POLYMER D. Repaired pillars are protected from atmospheric agents with the product ECO IMPREGNIR B. The best results are achieved by protecting concrete pillars with the product ECO IMPREGNIR B before being installed. |
Question 9 | Concrete fence is heavily damaged, the reinforcement is clearly noticeable. |
Answer 9 | Damage on the fence is repaired by using the concrete made with addition of the product ECO POLYMER D. Before applying new concrete damaged parts of the fence are treated with the N/O binder. Protection of the fence with the product ECO IMPREGNIR B is recommended. |
Question 10 | Concrete wall of a new building is covered with graffiti. |
Answer 10 | Graffiti can be removed from the concrete wall using the cleaning product ECO RECEPT 02 and water under pressure of 120-140bar. Cleaned wall can be protected from the graffiti with the products ECO IMPREGNIR B and ECO IMPREGNIR A. |
Question 11 | Hydro-insulation of the roof of the building is old and bad, after precipitation water penetrates the flats on the last floor. |
Answer 11 | Old hydro-insulation of the roof is removed and new one is installed. Very often concrete under old and decayed hydro-insulation is somewhat damaged (cracks, holes, places where old concrete crumbles or is weak). Damaged parts of concrete are broken or slotted, cleaned, then coated with the N/O binder, made “in situ” out of the product ECO POLYMER D and cement. Concrete used for repair is also made with addition of the product ECO POLYMER D. Hydro-insulation is carried out using the product SILOBIT. |
Question 12 | Socle and concrete around the house are cracked and ruined. Water gets into the basement. Hydro-insulation is installed, but it didn’t help. |
Answer 12 | Hydro-insulation isn’t necessary if concrete socle and slabs around the house are done well, which is not the case here. Penetration of water into the basement despite installed insulation leads to a supposition that serious damages exist, or hydro-insulation wasn’t done well. Damaged concrete parts are first broken or slotted, cleaned, and then, if it’s necessary installed hydro-insulation is removed. Small damages of the concrete are coated with N/O binder and filled with concrete made with addition of the product ECO POLYMER D. Serious damages are repaired using waterproof concrete made with addition of the product ECO IMPREGNIR K. Concrete iron and/or galvanized steel netting are used if necessary. After rebuilding concrete is conserved with the product ECO IMPREGNIR B. |
Question 13 | Concrete tank loses water. |
Answer 13 | It is necessary to empty the tank and search it thoroughly in order to determinate all the places where water is lost. Damaged parts of concrete are broken or slotted and cleaned. Small damages are coated with the N/O binder made of ECO POLYMER D and cement, then filled with repair concrete made with the addition of ECO POLYMER D. Serious damages, after anchoring using stainless anchors and galvanized steel netting, are filled with waterproof concrete made with addition of the product ECO IMPREGNIR K. After rebuilding water tank is conserved with the protection products ECO IMPREGNIR B and ECO IMPREGNIR WN. |
Question 14 | New building. Hydro-insulation of the floor is needed. |
Answer 14 | Hydro-insulation of the floor is carried out with SILOBIT. |
